Many jurisdictions in Canada have implemented mandatory qualifications (C of Q) for sprinkler fitter scope of practice including installation, ITM, and repairs for water-based (supply/system) fire protection and special hazard suppression systems. These are identified under provincial regulatory requirements, municipal by-laws, and provincial fire codes.
